How Much Pre-Workout Should You Take?

Take one serving of pre-workout as directed on the label. If you are new or sensitive to caffeine, start with half a serving to assess your tolerance, then adjust. More is not better and mainly adds jitters and a harder crash.

Start with the label

The recommended serving is your baseline. It is set so the actives land at effective amounts without overdoing the stimulant. There is rarely a good reason to exceed it.

Find your personal dose

  • New or caffeine sensitive: start with half a serving and see how you feel.
  • Experienced: a full serving is usually right.
  • Adjust by session: a lighter dose can suit late or lighter workouts. See pre-workout and sleep.

Why more is not better

Doubling up does not double the benefit. It mostly increases jitters, raises your crash risk, and pushes your caffeine past the roughly 400mg daily guideline. Balance beats brute force. More in how much caffeine is in pre-workout.

Count your whole day

Remember other caffeine sources like coffee, tea, and energy drinks all add to your daily total. Factor them in when deciding your pre-workout dose, especially later in the day.

Why a transparent formula makes dosing easy

When a pre-workout shows exactly how much of each ingredient is in a serving, you can dose precisely and confidently. PUROX is transparently dosed and balanced with L-Theanine, so a sensible serving gives strong, clean energy without the guesswork. Take it 20 to 30 minutes before training, per how to take pre-workout.
